No wonder there are more divorces. The young people have terribly high aspirations. If the husbands can't meet it. They go for divorce. The young people are spoilt.
We need to mandate counselling prior to dating and into marriage. So many singles unaware of their own mental health and relationship approaches going into marraige. Mental health is worse these days.
Interesting conversation. But I don't agree with the prenup. You're getting into a marriage with already one foot out? That's some recipe for success 🤔
Shalom! Shavua Tov. Shalom Bait is a work for life and people have to be aware of it. Sometimes is gonna be way too hard but BH we can try again and again. H' bless all the people who do their best helping others, specially with Shalom Bait.
Divorce is sometimes the destruction of a Jewish home, sometimes it’s saving Jewish lives. Don’t be a hypocrite. Some people commit suicide to get out.
No one is around to help beis din is very often corrupt there is no where to turn easy to say don’t go to court when you’re not the one with an abusive partner
Easy to make some of these conclusions. What are the numbers for abuse? Mental? Physical? Financial? Silence often helps abusers. Very very tone deaf interview. You should interview Shoshana Keats jaskoll - and see what is going on in the world of abuse and Gett refusal. It’s scary
Keats Jaskoll profits from promoting an non-existent "agunah crisis". It was shocking enough before October 7, but she keeps it up even while there are actual agunahs now in Israel. Please stop perpetuating these lies.
You're bringing up some very important issues that need to be addressed. He's not denying that these issues exist, he's just not focusing his efforts on those issues. The issues he's working on also need tremendous amounts of time and resources. No one person can fix the world. I give him credit for what he is doing. More people should get in there and get their hands dirty.
Im a bit older i'm afraid ive seen the reason why many divorces go thru and belive me its better it does happen !!! On paper its easy to talk but lmaaseh ...........
How wonderful had it been had there been an Eli Goldbaum to deal with Eli Goldbaum 12 yrs ago when his daughter was getting divorced. He was not a small monster and made every single mistake mentioned in this interview plus. I'm happy that he's matured and learned from his mistakes. He seems legit today.
Correct. He hurt his daughter and his grandchildren tremendously, with the false restraining order, the "agunah" rumors, and so on. It seems he recognizes the errors and that is what drives his work , which is a positive thing
@heythereall some sins a person does place him in the category of apikores..additionally..we have no idea if he did teshuva..what we do know is that he is נוגע בדבר and based upon many people committed horrific acts of mesira
I totally disagree. I don't think that's the ton there at all. Also, he has actually had a lot of experience with divorce, from several different angles.

Great episode, I think people learning about the fight, fight, freeze and fawn responses to stress/fear can also be very helpful

Well said!!
I'm waiting for the difficult podcast/conversation specifically about Parental Alienation...
Amazing episode ❤
Too much talk before the interview

Not counseling: education. Included with Chason and Kallah classes.
If the wife ended up in the hospital, why isn't a restraining order necessary?
Didn’t find the website can you please put it on the comments here thank you
Please post links to find out more! Thank you
What are the fundamentals of marriage?
Marriage means compromise. Too many people are not bothered enough about it.
My granddad told me back in the day you married the single girl in your town, there wasnt really any choice
Great episode!! Where can I find the link to the curriculum?
Interesting conversation. But I don't agree with the prenup. You're getting into a marriage with already one foot out? That's some recipe for success 🤔
every marriage has a prenup automatically. If you don't make your own, the government gives you one.
Shalom!

I think people don't date long enough. They get engaged like they're on the bachelor. Marriage is playing house.

I'm shocked he's advocating against bitul kiddushin.
why are you shocked?
Best thing to stop this sectarian women abuse is liberate and bring those women to save houses in other countries

If it happens, it should be as amicable as possible.
This is cute, it's nice, but there is no magic pill lol The end of the day it boils down to people's natures and personalities and character traits.
i sleep in office so i don't see my wife
😢

eli goldbaum has 2 divorced DAUGHTERS AND THEY BOTH GOT DIVORCED NUMEROUS TIMES...
I'm not getting the purpose of this loshon horah. If he did indeed learn the error of his ways then why bring it up?

Clearly someone that has no exposure to couples actually facing divorce
Why do you say that? Is there a conflict of interest that you are a lawyer?
